Bay Tree Cottage
Bay Tree Cottage is a cosy cottage for 2 people and is assessed 4* by Visit England
The Cottage is at the edge of North Cave, has stunning parkland walks a moment away. The cottage lies between Horseshoe Cottage and our recently restored C17th Apple Loft.
Bay Tree has original beams in the kitchen with a double oven cooker, 4 ring ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. The stairway leads out of the kitchen to the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. In the cosy sitting room, original pine cupboards next to the cottage fireplace house books and games. The traditional style coal effect gas fire warms the room quickly when its chilly outside. The sofa and wingback chair, give good smart TV viewing and there’s a table to work at as well as a round table with two chairs for dining. At the top of the stairs, the sunny bathroom with shower over bath, is down one step to the left of the landing. The bedroom with king sized bed is up one step from the landing and has an attractive old pine fireplace filled with logs and cones (for safety, this is not used).
The outbuilding next to Bay Tree off-road parking space acts as a safe place to lock up any cycles and put your wellies.
The enclosed courtyard garden, walled on one side has a productive Cherry tree and herb bed for your use. A table for two sits just outside the kitchen under the Bay tree, making a grand spot to enjoy an alfresco meal, and there’s a couple of sunbeds for relaxing in the sunshine.
